The SuperSeal Stadium, Kick-off: 4pm
In the second instalment in the relegation battle, Hamilton Academical host Spartans at 4pm.
Hamilton could be safe before kick-off if Aberdeen loses to Stirling University, but they will also know that they can secure their safety of their own accord. Going into the day, they sit four points ahead of Aberdeen, meaning a win will guarantee their safety regardless.
It has been seven years since Hamilton beat Spartans in the league, but the games between the sides have been close affairs. Back in March, Spartans were narrow 1-0 winners with Simone McMahon scoring the winner in the 78th minute. In August, the two sides played out a goalless draw that both sides had good chances to win.
Going into last Sunday’s defeat to Aberdeen, Hamilton had been on great form – including beating Rangers, a win that increased the gap to 10 points.
However, Spartans travel looking to secure fourth place and keep their hopes for third alive. They are behind Stirling on goal difference only, and four behind Celtic in third. A win, coupled with a defeat for Celtic, would mean they could finish the season third. And they come in a confident mood, having beaten Spartans 3-2.
