Stirling University’s forward Nicole Pullar has moved to the SWPL 1 champions Glasgow City.
Pullar has been Stirling’s top goal scorer over the past two seasons, and in 2016 she was the joint-seventh top scorer in the league with 8 goals, alongside Hibernian’s Abi Harrison.
The forward had spent two weeks training with the champions, before making the move to City.
Speaking to www.glasgowcityfc,co.uk, City’s Head Coach Scott Booth talked about his new player, praising her “strong physical presence” as well as her team ethic and ability to link up with the players around her. He also spoke about her habit of finding the back of the net and stated that her ambition was evident by her move to Glasgow City.
Pullar also spoke to the website, talking about her delight at the move, as well as commenting positively on her experience training with City. Her affection for her former club Stirling University was evident to see, thanking them for “everything they have done to help make this move possible” as well as the impact on her career, saying:
“They gave me the opportunity at Premier League level in the first place and I want to wih them all the very best.”
Pullar joins Lee Alexander, Abbi Grant and Megan Foley as Glasgow City’s recent signings as they look to defend their title, and win what would be their eleventh championship in a row. Glasgow City has also promoted academy players, including Murron Cunningham, Katie Rice and Oli Crawford.
