Scotland has been named as the hosts for the 2019 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championships.

To date, Scotland has qualified for the tournament four times, with their best performance coming at the 2014 edition where the finished third in their group. Their 2-0 win against Belgium, with Caroline Weir and Zoe Ness scoring, was Scotland’s first ever victory.

This will be the first time Scotland have hosted an official UEFA tournament since 1998.

Scotland are still in the qualification process for the 2017 tournament which will be held in Northern Ireland, whilst the 2018 edition will be held in Switzerland.
