Albyn Park, 30 October 2016, Kick-off: 2pm
Hibernian face Spartans in an Edinburgh derby as they prepare for the SSE Scottish Cup Final.
Neither team can realistically move any higher or lower than their current position and both will be disappointed to be in that situation. Last Sunday, Hibernian lost 3-1 to Glasgow City which meant they could no longer win the title. Although it would still be challenging for them to win the title – they would have hoped to have taken the race into the final day. But they will want to go into the Scottish Cup Final against City off the back of a win.
Spartans had been fighting for fourth place, and for a while, they were the favourites to finish there. But their recent form has taken a dip, losing seven out of their past eight matches with their only win during that period a 1-0 win against Forfar Farmington.
That form sees them now sitting in sixth place, five points behind fourth-place Rangers after their late 1-0 defeat to Celtic last Sunday.
Spartans could theoretically finish fifth, but they would need Stirling to lose and to have an eight goal swing.
