Station Park, 30 October 2016, Kick-Off: 2pm
Forfar Farmington host Stirling Univesity in their final game of the season.
Forfar Farmington have already been relegated from the SWPL 1 but they will be wanting to give their home fans a win to end the season on.
Looking back, it was two games in September that saw them relegated when they lost 1-0 to Spartans (who their relegation rivals Aberdeen had beaten in their previous game) and then losing 1-0 to Aberdeen themselves. It was by the narrowest of margins, but that six-point swing that Aberdeen gained was just too much to claw back.
Stirling University, on the other hand, are fighting for fourth place. Since the break, their form has been impressive and last week’s late 2-1 win over Aberdeen means that fourth is still possible.
Since July, Stirling have only lost three matches and they came against the top three sides of Glasgow City, Hibernian and Celtic. They now sit in fifth, just two points behind Rangers who play Glasgow City.
So far this season, it is one win apiece in the head-to-head with Forfar winning 2-0 back in May whilst Stirling were 1-0 winners when the sides met in August.
