New Tinto Park, 23 October 2016, Kick-off: 12:15pm
Rangers host relegated Forfar Farmington in their final home game of the season.
The hunt for fourth place is highly exciting with three teams separated by just two points as they all try and finish in the top half of the table.
A third of the way through the season, Rangers were in pole position for fourth and they looked like they could mount a challenge for third – but around May, a run of poor form kicked in and it looked like fourth could be beyond them. But two wins in the past two games – including a mightily impressive 6-0 win over Aberdeen – has seen them regain control of the fourth spot. However, with Rangers playing Glasgow City in their final game, it shows the importance of three points in this game.
Forfar Farmington may have been relegated from the SWPL 1, but they will be looking to end the season positively as they look to bounce straight back up next season. They’ve been unlucky in recent games, perhaps lacking a cutting edge in front of goal at times. However, if you look at their performances, their points total doesn’t tally up to that.
Both games between the sides this season have been won by Rangers by two-goal margins.
