King’s Park, 23 October 2016, Kick-off: 2pm
Second meets third as Hearts hosts Glasgow Girls.
This is a game that neither side can really afford to lose and in the case of Glasgow Girls, fail not to win if they have any hope of winning the title. All three title rivals are on 45 points with just two games remaining, and Hearts has a slightly worse goal difference than Hamilton.
Having lost to Hamilton in their last game, the title is no longer in their hands and Hearts need to bounce back with a positive performance – replicating their win against Glasgow Girls back in August.
Glasgow Girls lost to Hamilton themselves two games ago but in their past match saw them beat Inverness City 11-0 by a margin that improves their goal difference that was significantly worse. This probably puts more pressure on them to pick up the win. Glasgow Girls will also be looking to replicate their earlier results against Hearts back in May – one of just two games the Edinburgh club has lost this season in the SWPL 2.
Whatever happens, the winner could end the day in first whilst the loser could end in third.
