Jeanfield Swifts’ final home game of the season ended in an epic 4-3 win over Buchan.
Jeanfield took the lead in the 12th minute when Chiara Grossi’s long ball picked out Eilidh McIntyre scored with a composed finish.
Despite Buchan being denied by the woodwork and the keeper several times, the score remained 1-0 at half-time.
At the hour mark, Jeanfield managed to double their advantage when Donna Shaw played Danni McGinley into the box with a superb pass, and McGinley obliged with a superb finish.
But late on, Buchan scored two quick goals, the second from a penalty and they were looking for a winner.
However, Jeanfield managed to retake the lead when Shaw’s through-ball picked out Hannah Clark and the 14-year old beat the keeper with a clever side-footed finish. And then, Rhianna Tweedie’s stunning 35-yard strike made it 4-2. Both Clark’s and Tweedie’s goals were the first for Jeanfield.
In stoppage time, Buchan scored a free-kick to create a tense finale but Jeanfield held on to secure all three points.
