25 September 2016, Lesser Hampden, Kick-off: 2pm
The bottom-placed side in the SWPL 2 Queen’s Park host title-chasing Hamilton Academical.
Queen’s Park go into the match knowing they need a win if they have a chance of surviving the drop. Even if they lose and Buchan also lose – the gap will remain nine points win just four games remaining. But, if they win and Buchan lose, then the gap becomes six points.
But they have lost their past three games, scoring just once and therefore they will have to improve to get a positive result against Hamilton.
Hamilton sits in second place after a stunning 6-0 win over Jeanfield Swifts and is currently three points behind the leaders. That win has seen their run of four wins continue – and with highly impressive scores, as they scored 19 goals.
Their numbers will be bolstered by recent signing Emma Lyons who may make her debut, having joined from SWPL 1 side Stirling University.
Both games between these two sides have ended in wins for Hamilton Academical.
Queen’s Park could move up to seventh with a win, whilst Hamilton could jump up to first if they win.
