25 September 2016, Sunnybank Juniors, Kick-off: 1pm
A resurgent Aberdeen hosts a Forfar Farmington side requiring a win as they try and beat the drop.
If Aberdeen wins today, the relegation battle will be virtually over. It will see Forfar 10 points behind seventh-placed Aberdeen with four games to go.
Aberdeen had beaten Spartans 3-0 at the end of August, their first game under the new management which has seen them display more of an attacking intent that had perhaps been lacking before. And whilst they lost to Hibernian, they were on course for a draw until two late goals from Sarah Ewens.
Forfar, on the other hand, has been unlucky in recent games and perhaps should have more than their current six points. But, they only have to look back to May when this fixture was played at the same venue – and Forfar came away with a 2-0 win. It is that result they will need to replicate.
The match played at Station Park between these two sides ended in a 3-0 win for Aberdeen.
Neither side can move higher up than their current position.
