Hibernian took advantage of Glasgow City’s shock defeat, as they beat Stirling University 3-0 to close the gap at the top to five points.
They took the lead through Sarah Ewens’ strike, eight minutes into the first half.
Nicole Pullar had a chance to equalise, but her shot was saved by Jenna Fife and the score remained 1-0 to Hibernian at half-time.
Hibs forced Stirling’s keeper Chloe Logan into two great saves early on in the first half, but they soon doubled their lead through Emma Brownlie.
And late on, they made it 3-0 through Lizzie Arnot.
Hibs host Stirling University on Wednesday in their game in hand over City. Win that, and the gap will just be two points.
