Rangers won their third game in a row as they beat bottom-placed Forfar Farmington to move second in the SWPL 1.
It was Forfar who had the game’s opening chance as Nicola Davidson fired a shot just wide.
But in the 6th minute, Rangers took the lead through Megan Foley.
Both sides had a series of half-chances, but in the 41st minute, Forfar came agonisingly close to equalising through Amy Gallacher’s curled strike which just went wide.
However, just before half-time, that miss became more important as Rangers doubled their lead through Clare Gemmell’s deflected shot.
Early on in the second half, Rangers had a great chance to score, but Rhonda Jones’ header was ruled offside.
And then Forfar pulled a goal back when Robyn Smith’s cross picked out Tori Sousa who beat Rangers’ keeper Claire Johnstone.
Katey Turner made it 3-1 in the 61st minute, but Forfar could have once again pulled a goal back but Davidson’s long-range effort hit the crossbar, and Sousa then shot wide.
Holly Napier had a couple of chances to close the gap, but when the ref blew the full-time whistle, it was Rangers 3-1 Forfar Farmington.
