Stirling University, Sunday 1st May 2016, Kick-off: 2pm
Stirling University looks to win their second home game in a row, whilst Aberdeen continues to look for their first win.
Stirling has been unlucky to sit with just three points as they continue to impress neutrals, although they will have to manage without the suspended Rebecca Galbraith. Their defeat to Spartans last Sunday was a feisty affair and they came away disappointed to leave without points.
But they just have to look back to their last home match for confidence, as two late goals saw them beat Celtic 2-1 – the biggest upset of the season so far.
Aberdeen’s position of seventh place is an indication of the strength of the league, and they will be looking to get a minimum of a point ahead of their League Cup Semi-Final tie against Glasgow City next Sunday.
Remarkably, for a side with just one point, that draw came against Hibernian where they picked up a clean sheet against one of the best-attacking sides. But they have lost their other three games against Spartans, Glasgow City and Rangers – all games where they were close to at least taking a point from.
Stirling would require a large goal swing to move up one place to fifth if they win, whilst an Aberdeen victory will see them overtake Stirling to sixth.
