Forfar Farmington v Rangers – Match Preview – SWPL 1
Station Park, Kick-off: 1pm
Forfar Farington host Rangers needing to pick up points in their fight against the drop.
Forfar will feel aggrieved at the decision to award Stirling a win against Celtic due to a ‘clerical error’, but they must use any frustration to positive use. They are now four points behind Stirling, but with two games left against Stirling, their safety is still in their hands – which at this point in the season is what they want.
Having lost heavily to Glasgow City at the end of July, they put in a much-improved performance and narrowly lost to Celtic 3-1 in the Scottish Cup. Take that improvement into the Rangers game, and they know they can take points.
At the end of July, Rangers ended their losing run which stretched back to the beginning fo May with an impressive 2-0 win against Rangers. They are now just three points behind Celtic and four behind third-placed Spartans, and another win could see them move towards the top third.
